Testing & Analysis
Testing is the only way to determine the condition of your indoor air quality and to maintain high-quality air. Building owners and managers are responsible for the quality of the air their occupants breathe, whether or not they are aware of any issues. Ask Calvert-Jones about several important tests that should be executed, including:
Physical Sampling
Possible biological growths can be sampled and analyzed to determine the nature of the issue and guide accurate recommendations on the severity of the issue. Direct sampling of building materials (dry wall, ceiling tiles, etc.) can also be analyzed to indicate current conditions and potential problems.
 Water & Air Quality Testing
Water sampling is a way to determine the effect water in your mechanical system has on your equipment. Based on these samples, proper chemical or nonchemical treatment can be instituted to correct any issues that may exist. Both air quality and quantity can be tested and analyzed to determine what is in the air and how much. Based on these measurements, accurate recommendations (filtration, purification, distribution system upgrades) can be made to improve the indoor environment.
Third-Party Analysis
Modern methods of indoor air quality (IAQ) testing can include an independent third party to analyze the results. This is a good practice because it offers you two different perspectives on your results, giving you a better understanding of the big picture.
